Broken Belling oven

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out with my broken Belling 90E oven. One of the ovens is not turning on at all, even the light on the dial isn't coming on. I'm sure it's something to do with a fuse as the ceiling light shorted the other day and the oven hasn't worked since then. I've had a quick look at the terminal block and everything looks ok there but I'm a bit scared to take the whole of the back of the oven off! The second oven is still working and the hob is fine.

Does this sound like something I can fix myself or do I need to get an expert involved?

    Thanks in advance.

There may be a removable panel covering the element inside the oven. I changed the element on a different model oven recently, and could have done it entirely from the front, although I did in fact take off the back. Element is probably under €30.

silly answer but have you power at the socket on the wall as it should have a red glow from the neon to suggest live feed?
my ceilings lights when they go trip the rcd and would need resetting and have you checked yours are not fully up?

Thanks for the help, turns out when these ovens trip or lose power the clock can lock onto a function that prevents the oven from turning on?? Anyway, I reset the clock and all sorted now :)
