    Interesting.

    This
    Entry Requirements

The DT119 PDAP programme is open to the following categories of applicants:

Graduates of a recognised programme in architecture, equivalent to the DIT BArch
Other building professional who wish to take the programme of study as CPD
    .

    plus
    this
    Professional Diploma in Architectural Practice
    leads to

Successful candidates will be able to obtain Statutory Registered Status with the RIAI to practice as an Architect in Ireland.

Which may beg the question why chase 600 points or whatever in the LC to do a architectural degree to call urself an Architect.

You can only become a registered architect, if you do this course, if you already have a degree in architecture. That's the only way.

If you do not already have a degree in architecture, you cannot become a registered architect by doing this course.

What I am saying is that if you are a qualified AT, and you do that DIT course, you cannot become an architect.

The only people who can 'obtain Statutory Registered Status with the RIAI' after doing this course are those who have/are 'Graduates of a recognised programme in architecture, equivalent to the DIT BArch' (i.e. have a degree in architecture).

For anybody who does not have a degree in architecture, the course will simply (and only) give you CPD points!

You don't think the course material is beneficial for an AT? Forget about the letters after your name. Professionally would it be useful?
