    i am thinking upgrading my gpu shortly , currently i have a msi r9 280x but i am hoping to upgrade to a 480 the 4gb version , i amint hoping to go 4k or 1440p soon so i am hoping the 4gb would do ? would someone mind letting me know if i should just save that little extra for 8gb or would the 4gb do ? thanks.

    A 480 won't be able for 4k tbh for good 1440/4k I'd be looking at 1070/1080

    Like i said in the above message i wont be playing on 4k or 1440 so i am just wondering would the 4gb 480 be anough for 1920x1080 but thanks anyway.

    Sorry completely misread as to you wanting to play 1440/4k!
    A 480 should be perfect for 1080p gaming, I really don't know the differences between the 4gig and 8gig models though, the gtx 1060 might be worth looking at as well, supposedly a very power efficient card

    Ok perfect thank you ! i am trying to get best cheap gpu i can get and the 4gb 480 is going for like 200 pounds!

    I agree, for 1080p gaming, the 4GB RX480 is fairly bulletproof and comes in at around €200 for basic but decent models.
