Venus-Jupiter conjunction August 27. 2016

There will be a close conjunction of Venus and Jupiter tomorrow evening saturday just after sunset, so grab the telescope or binoculars out and have a look. Take a few pictures or video if you can. Hope it's not cloudy/foggy or misty :o http://earthsky.org/?p=239748

Same here in Dublin ... sky overcast a little rain around 7:30pm. I wonder if the gang at the Skelligs Star Party in Kerry this weekend got any views? Yesterday evening was more clear, although a cloud bank in the SW sky stymied any views from my vantage point.

Looking at the reports from Valentia it seems to have been cloudy all day down there.

The next closest conjunction is not till 2065, when there will be an actual occultation. But only 8° from the Sun so probably unobservable.
