VAT and ordering from abroad

    Hi folks,

My father in law needs a new PC for his business. Trying to build a PC for him. I have all the parts sourced from Mindfactory.de but for them to process the order without VAT they need:
If you like to order as a company without VAT we require for every order a digital copy of the tax id document given by your local tax agency and your official traders license / certificate to verify the company name, company address,
corporate form combined with your given VAT.
Please make sure to send the required documents to info@mindfactory.de as soon as possible.

My father in law is not tech saavy and is increasingly irritated that his Irish VAT number isn't acceptable. He's now sent me a print off from the ROS website. This shows the business name but not the address.

Before this inevitably gets knocked back by Mindfactory, can someone articulate what kinda of document you think they are looking for/will accept?

I'm stuck between a German company with poor English and a tech phobic Irish businessman on the other.

    All help appreciated.

    Regards,
    Paul C

Simply key in his company number in the cro company search page and details will show.

Take screen shot, save as image, send it on to them.

If he is indeed VAT registered, can you not just buy it here as a legitimate business expense and claim the VAT back in his return?
