    Hi all.

I have accepted a place on an ICT Conversion course which is starting at the end of September. I have also been called for an interview for the TUS scheme.
Do I tell the interviewers that I am going back to college or will I be forced to forego college to take up a place on the TUS scheme.

    Any advice is appreciated ðŸ˜႒

Yes. I have applied and been approved for the bespoke version of the BTEA that is associated with the springboard course.

Tell the interviewers you are going back to college.

I got a letter a few days back. I have to fill out the form agreeing for the DSP to give my contact details (Email and phone) to TUS Community Work Placement. I have no problem with this but am anxious as to what type of work is on offer. Also, I am in the process of attaining a couple of promising interviews and would prefer to take up properly paid employment with career prospects rather than a TUS placement.

How does all this go? Anybody got some advice based on experience?

About 3 months passed after my interview before i got a placement. It's a total waste of time for most people. There's no harm filling it in & going for interview all the same. It might cause problems if you say no

And regarding interviews, can you get time off this TUS lark to attend?

Sounds like an unusual situation. I doubt from reading other posts that most people have such a flexible approach from the 'employer'.

Almost of my job is outside so no choice and doesn't matter in march april starts everything growing again and then I have to make more hours to do so compensate the lost ones in winter time

O and the employers (have 3) seen them when I started in june , last week I saw one and for the rest never seen
Supervisor and employers I got them sometimes on the phone when they want something special have done
For the rest see nobody and hear nobody and working alone on the 3 jobs I have

You can take it easy during the winter then and leave the scheme for a job in Spring. LOL
