    how do you define "overrated" - it's totally subjective...
    for example The Da Vinci Code is very highly rated in terms of popularity and sales etc...
    I had the misfortune to read it and thought it was utter drivel...
    I've not read ona JK stuff

    I've not read the Harry Potter books so don't know whether her work is of literary merit but certainly the world she has created has been a phenomenal success for which she deserves credit.
