Wall Mounted TV & Box

    Hi,
I am moving into a new house shortly and want to wall mount the TV in the kitchen. This is a straightforward task.
However I do not want to have an unsightly Virgin Media TV box sitting on a shelf underneath it, does anyone have any ideas/advice as to how one could locate the box out of sight?
I have googled TV installers and cant seem to find anyone who has any great options. I have seen online where some people fit them vertically on the bracket behind the TV, but would the remote control signal be picked up this way?

    Thanks

you can hide the box and run a IR blaster to it for the remote.

If you use the horizon box in that room you don't need line of sight, it uses Bluetooth for the remote.

UPC recording boxes don't take well to being on their side. Plus the IR is poor on them so you usually need to point the remote straight at the front of the box.

Thanks so much I just copped that. Gives me an option of maybe putting it in the utility room but need to move the virgin connector box to there first.
Do you think it is possible to have the UPC/virgin box in your attic and have it feeding a number of rooms in your home?
The house I am moving into is set up for that but I am unsure if the horizon box can be utilised in that manner.

ahen you say UPC box in the attic, do you mean a socket?
I wouldn't go putting a digibox up there as they get warm enough, and you might need to reset them from time to time.

Re the utility room idea, you'd just need to run good quality co-ax cable to there from your main socket.

Virgin will fit a socket anywhere within reason for €80.
