The Terminal Illness forum is for those who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and their families and carers. Whether you need practical advice or a bit of moral support, there are people here who have experienced this situation and will be glad to offer what help they can.

This is a deeply sensitive and emotive reality of life for so many people, so this forum has a zero tolerance policy for any trolls or idiots – please keep that in mind.

Please try and contribute more than platitudes in your response. Do not offer prayers or other religious or spiritual support unless it is requested.

The moderators may close threads if an OP reports the death of the terminally ill person, this is to avoid inappropriate continuation of the thread. This will be handled on a case by case basis.

Anonymous posting is available on this forum. To do this, log out (if you are registered) and post. Your post will not be visible until it has been approved by the moderators. Please give yourself a nickname (rather than leaving it as 'unregistered') to avoid confusion with other anonymous posters.

Moderator of the forum is looksee.

As a part of Boards.ie, this forum is subject to the same basic rules as any other forum on the site.
