Hi as the post says I've got a rattle somewhere towards the back of my sunroof. It's not bad but it's there..I know it's there and it's doing my head in. I've tightened every visible screw and bolt but no luck. The sunroof works perfect. When it's open rattle is worse but living in Ireland I don't worry about having it open much. It's taking the joy out of driving it. Any help much appreciated.

Does it rattle only when it's closed?

Howdy Atlantic Dawn no its actually worse when open. When it's closed I pull the curtain over which muffles the noise. Ive been doing some googling and apparently it's an xtrail issue.

Could it be the rubber seals that have degraded and hardened? There's treatments you can get that will soften it up and refresh. AutoGlym do a rubber care product that will soften it up, might work if there's nothing else obvious looking loose.

Thanks for the feed back. I have silicone spay at home I'll give it a shot. I'm not holding out much hope it seems to be around the passenger side track..Up under the roof liner. Impossible to actually get at without ripping it all off

Cleaned the track and sprayed it and the rubbers with silicone spray..No joy
