Just noticed I had no hot water,but rads are heating up,checked hot press, found a little Lever and pushed it up ,held in place by moving it to the left, not sure if this lever has ever Ben in this position but I got the hot water back, as far as I can remember this lever has always been in the down position, is it some…

Just noticed I had no hot water,but rads are heating up,checked hot press, found a little Lever and pushed it up ,held in place by moving it to the left, not sure if this lever has ever Ben in this position but I got the hot water back, as far as I can remember this lever has always been in the down position, is it some kind of failure switch, could there be a problem somewhere else,dangerous? ??
