    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]Mark the date Sunday, 4th September in your diary, as that is when the popular Vintage Show and Family Fun day takes place in the Thatch Bar, Newbridge, Askeaton.[/font][/font]

    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]Organised by West Limerick Vintage Club, it is a great day out with lots for the whole family to enjoy, from displays of vintage farm machinery to bouncy castles, and with all proceeds going to The Brothers of Charity at Foynes, Co. Limerick[/font][/font]

    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]West Limerick Vintage Club was formed in 2008 by a group of enthusiasts with a keen interest in classic and vintage cars, tractors, trucks, motorbikes, engines and farm machinery. The first Vintage Show and family Fun day was held in 2008 and it has quickly gained popularity. As well as holding a family day out, the event had the aim of raising funds for local charities, and over the years over 31,000 euro has been donated to organisations like Milford Hospice, St Ita s and Rathfredagh Cheshire Home.[/font][/font]

    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]This year s chosen charity is The Brothers of Charity Services at Foynes Co. Limerick, and it is hoped that the September 4th show and family day will raise lots of money for this worthwhile cause.[/font][/font]

    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]VINTAGE CARS, TRACTORS AND MACHINERY[/font][/font]
    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]Given the organisers love for all things vintage and classic, it s no surprise to learn that there will be lots of vintage cars, tractors and machinery on display on September 4th, and you will enjoy strolling around, examining the beautifully maintained items from days gone by![/font][/font]

    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]VINTAGE FARM MACHINERY DISPLAYS[/font][/font]
    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]Those with a hankering for the old days when farm work was much less automated than today will love the live displays of vintage farm machinery. You will be see threshing, baling, horse-shoeing, threshing and more and it will bring the memories flooding back. And if you re too young to remember, you will be amazed at the machinery in action, and the labour involved in farm tasks.[/font][/font]

    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]The Dog Show is a popular part of the day, and lots of breeds of all shapes and sizes will be in attendance for you to admire. If you have a dog, why not bring it along![/font][/font]

    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]FUN FOR CHILDREN![/font][/font]
    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]There will be lots for children to enjoy on the day, with bouncy castles, farm animals, face painting and more, and the good thing is that parents won t be forking out euro after euro! Once you pay the entry fee which is only 5 per person or 10 for a family, the kids can enjoy the bouncy castle and other attractions all afternoon at no extra charge. There will also be a Wheel of Fortune with lots of prizes.[/font][/font]

    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]There will be food and ice cream and also stalls to wander through and pick up some local produce or a unique gift.[/font][/font]

    [font=arial, sans-serif][font=tahoma, sans-serif]Entry costs just 5 euro, and 10 euro for families, and remember bouncy castle etc are free for children. And remember, all proceeds go to The Brothers of Charity at Foynes, Co. Limerick.[/font][/font]
