    There was (and is again post repaint at the museum ) as they were one of the launch customers

    RA001 was in terrible condition when I was at the museum in 2014 but I believe they we focused efforts on restoration and dug around the the parts stores of every former 747 classic operator to see if anything was left behind. There was a Nigerian engineer in his 70s who'd emigrated to the US to work on the project pre launch doing tours of the concorde that day - I believe lots of retired Boeing staff volunteers there.

    Thanks for the heads up, I watched it on the second showing later and was well worth staying up for.
    The bit about the engine compressor surge was fascinating and the video of the demo flight for the P&W boss showed much pucker factor indeed.
    I searched for and found this video tonight of a surge incident.

    Surge occurs about 1m 30s in, new pants all round I should think...
