Hi, today when u went to collect my jobseekers allowance the clerk at the post office short changed me €50, which I only realised when I got to the bank. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with something like this and if there is any possibility of getting the money I'm owed back. Thanks in advance for any help.

Go back into the PO tomorrow and say it to them, their balance at the end of the day will help your cause.

Thanks, unfortunately they told me their balance did not have a €50 surplus so I am stumped as to what happened.

What did your slip say ,
Find it odd been they count it in front to you before giving it to you,
Could you have dropped it leaving or between the Po and bank

you may have to chalk this one up to experience. have you ever paid a bill in the post office? they alway count the money after you hand it to them, even if you counted it as you had it over. you will need to do the same. Doesnt matter if you hold up the q for a minute to do so.

and can you be sure you didnt lose it goingt o the bank?
