    Hi,

My doctor prescribed me Difene for a foot injury. I haven't went to the pharmacy yet. I have two old boxes of difene at home. One expired in 2011 and the other in 2013.
I kinda want to just take these. I've Googled about out of date medicines. My father said it'll be grand. My girlfriend says no way. I'm ok with it.
    Any thoughts here?

Five and three years out of date. Bring them back to your local pharmacy for destruction and use your prescription to get some new ones.

I've taken difene that were a few months out of date to save myself a trip to the doctor. I'm not sure if I would take them a few years out of date.

Fair enough. I suppose I knew the answer before posting. Would you believe I also found Difene gel in the medicine box, expiry date may 2001!!

Sweet fcuking Jesus, are you really asking anonymous users on the internet if its ok to use expired medication !
Cop on, return them to the chemist and see a Doc/Pharmacist

PS Requesting medical advice even of the near comic variety is not allowed here

PPS Your girlfriend is right !
