Does anyone know if a support group for parents of teens with mental health problems is in existence in Galway?

My suggestion is to start on the mental health bit and see if there are organisations for this in locally.
These organisations may be able to direct you to local support groups.

Contact Jigsaw Galway or Mental Health Ireland. They should be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck!

There's certainly Al-Anon for the families of alcoholics of all ages. Don't know about other issues.

You could contact the psychology dept in uhg for info (Shantalla clinic) - i know there's parenting groups for smaller kids, but not sure about teens.

    Jigsaw also an option.

    Good luck!

Speak to Jigsaw or the Child and Adolescent mental health inpatient unit in Merlin park. There is also a charity called the mental health association which is active in Galway. It's aimed at adults but one of the leaders may be able to point you in the right direction.
