Villamar website: dodgy?

    Looking on Ownersdirect for a holiday villa to rent, and there are several without reviews (always makes me sceptical), for good money, visually look great...and all managed by Club Villamar- which appears to be registered in Curacao. ANyone more techy than me care to share any insights as to whether it's ok to book with them? They do appear to have local offices in Spain

    As all sites like this if you book it through the site itself and don't go outside the site and use Western Union or bank transfer you will have far less chance of being ripped off. Airbnb holds on to payment until you complete your stay so far less chance of problems.

    There seem to be a lot of bad reviews about it on this Dutch site:

    I don't read Dutch, but I'd be going through tried and tested sites like ownerdirect etc..

    They're advertising on Ownersdirect :( Tbh, I think I'll give it a miss. If it looks too good to be true etc
