    Hi all

What is the best way to clean shower tiles and the shower tray itself that have been stained by hair dye?

The tiles it's mostly in between and the shower tray.... I fear is a lost cause but if anyone has any suggestions on how best to remove these.....

I know for the future to clean as I go but unfortunately that's no help with this right now!

Something like this http://www.woodiesdiy.com/Product/unibond-grout-reviver-with-antimould-125ml-tube-white/21893/1.12.1 might help with the bits between the tiles.

No idea what to use on the shower tray though!

Bleach, rubber gloves, a scrubbing brush and some good old fashioned elbow grease.

It seems quite likely that the non-slip quality of a shower tray would mean it has a slightly 'porous' surface, and the dye has been absorbed. On the other hand if you are looking at replacing the tray there is nothing to lose by trying an abrasive liquid cleaner (Cif) or bleach.

Milton, the stuff that used to be used for cleaning babies bottles was always great for cleaning toilet bowls and shower trays. Worth a try if you can get it now.

Brick Cleaner will definitely do it. Done it plenty of times. Just be sure to wear Gloves and protective Glasses or Goggles.
