Radio audio level

    10 year old car (SX4).

Over the last 12 months the radio started to act up.
Initially all I had to do was to increase the volume setting to be able to hear it.

Last month it gave up the ghost and I have to turn volume control up to max and sound is very low and tinny.

    CD no better.

Any suggestions regarding a good BUDGET replacement?

I would be inclined to check your speakers before you replace the radio
