Hi guys my wife and I are due to have our first baby October 2016.
I see that this year if your child is born after September the dad is entitled to 2 weeks maternity pay from the state.
Just wondering if anyone out there is in the same boat,do I have forms to fill out and where would I get them? Direct from the social?
Can't seem to find much info online.
    Thanks. For any advice.

A friend is going through the same thing, can't link you to a direct firm sorry, he called his local social office, they pointed him in the direction of a downloadable form for him to get signed by his employer and send it back to them.
    Not much help, sorry

You need to get a psc card from SW they wont give you 2weeks pay without it

You need a public service card from the social welfare crowd in order to access the 2weeks of money from them

Which is easy-peasy to get: they give you an appointment, you turn up there with photo ID (drivers license or passport) and proof of address, they take your picture, get you to sign a tablet ... and a week later your card turns up.

    paternity leave.

    maternity leave is for women.
