    7. I don't remember them laws about children and tractors when I was growing up and I'd be classified as a young farmer so it's not like I grew up before tractors were common.

I heard of a farmer fined in court for not pulling in to let traffic pass, so what was that about?
Silly questions you don't need to know most of them to be able to drive a tractor on a public road.

Not a farmer. He had tractor and low loader or something like that. He had a 7 mile line of cars behind him. Between Westport and castle bar.

The court case I read about was in Cork on a narrow road, had about 20 cars behind him. So that's two cases we know about. Agriland need to do better research :)

5 I'm too polite on the road.
Got the ages and height of loads wrong as well.

5 - terrible is too small a word...

That being said, I think tractors are supposed to pull in to let traffic pass where safe to do so - not just pull over any time traffic behind you.

    6. Was surprised by the height of load too. Thought there was a 2 bale limit here. Maybe it's UK regs

Funnily enough I think pulling in and driving on the hard shoulder to let traffic pass could get you fined if you go north of the border.

Age of child in cab, fine for trailer lights and tractor pulling over I got wrong.
Only time I was in Court (many years ago) for driving without Tax (tractor), a neighbour was also there (got caught by the same Garda on the same day) for not having working tractor and trailer lights. Judge fined him IR£5 for every light not working including number plate lights x 2 on both the tractor and trailer. I think the total fine came to just over IR£200 including no Tax.
