I got a set in Home Store & More I think that are actually pressure based and go from floor to ceiling. They hold loads of clothes and are fairly customisable. I got mine for about €40 and along with a cheap enough dresser from Oxfam did me grand. Still are, in fact, until I get the bloody spare room sorted!

Would you consider looking for a secondhand rail? I bought one last year on Adverts from a market trader and got a really strong one for the price of a new rail of lesser quality. It's made such difference compared to the cheap Argos rail that it replaced.

I have two of the Rigga rails. I find the very sturdy. The adjustable height and shelve at the bottom are useful also.

Be prepared to get what you pay for.

I got one from Argos fairly cheap and its not the most stable when fully loaded.
