Integrated dishwasher placement - near oven?

    I plan to install a dishwasher (Bosh integrated) next to an electrical oven in my kitchen, as I have little space.

    I have heard that is not recommended. Is this true and why?

    Honestly I don't know.

    But for what it's worth, I wouldn't touch a Bosch dishwasher with a bargepole...bitter experience and not a cheap machine, leaked at the plastic to stainless seem at the bottom of the wash compartment, only solution was a new machine (14 months old) and my repair guy told me it was a common issue with them (€700 of rubbish)

    I had issues with the timber cabinet door attached integrated dishwasher expanding a few mm - causing the open\close to stick - fix was sanding either side of the door. My issue wasn't down to to it being near oven just steam from opening door over time but might something to bear in mind

    There is no problem with putting the dishwasher next to the oven as long as they are both installed correctly according to manufacturers instructions and are both on separate electrical circuits.

    However it is not ok to install a dishwasher under a hob.

    Also I would recommend never opening both doors at the same time - just good practice to prevent any possible cross contamination.
