Ethernet Port Akai AKSS1

    Hi all,

    Picked up an Akai AKSS1 Saorview Combo box and all is working well its seems to be a rebadged Walker wp645ts it looks the same & menu's are exactly the same.

    Can anyone tell me what the ethernet port is used for? will it update channels lists automatically?

    Does nothing as of yet unfortunetly...if you put software 4.11 on it then you will get the freesat guide on the sat channels and you just hit scan and it orders the channels itself and you get a 7 day guide.

    So you get full TV guide for Saorview and Freesat?

    You won't find 4.1 online it was an over the air release only. The firmware version 3.8, will provide the EPG for the sat channels sometime u have to put it on twice for it to appear don't know why.

    U need to scan the sat4free option and then select this to get the channels with a guideby pressing the opt button and selecting sat4,free
