There is less inter-state war compared to the 70s & 80s.
Though the Sudan civil war was disastrous too, but relatively isolated now.

Funny how, in 120yrs, we went from a country with a huge famine to one that is now a civilised, modern one.

Some African countries seem to be making no progress.

What did we do right that they can't? Oh yes, we learned from our mistakes.

I am in no way condoning the killing of poor people, they are doing that themselves with the help of their Governments.

My great great great grandparents, no idea, never traced my family tree.

Sad but true that article. The whole chugger campaign over the last few decades gas all being about the children etc but at the same time the place is becomming a bigger hellhole instead of getting better. Instead of sorting out their own problems they then want to come here instead. Where will it end....

I don't think many people have much interest in it anymore. Progress inspires people whereas massively unsustainable population growth along with war and dictatorships makes people want to ignore it.
