    Sold the X99 did you?

    i5 6500 €200
    H150 €60
    1tb HDD €40
    8gb RAM €40
    GTX 1070 €500
    case €100
    600w PSU €80

    Windows key is like €90
    €90 left over, 6600k and a Z170 might be a shout but I don't think there's any need.

Is 60fps important to you? Theres no real GPU (other than the new titan) that can run 4k ultra at 60fps, at least from benches I've seen

Given how spotty the 1080 is at 4k I'd doubt the Titan will push it perfectly either, I think we're still a Gen away from solid 4k. The 1070 seems to handle Ultra 30 fine in most cases

Yeah the 1070 is the most sensible option right, then selling on when the 1180ti or similar arrives for 4k

My 1080 gets around 45 fps on the Witcher at 4k Ultra.

x99 rig is gone, haven't been building or doing much PC stuff the last few years. Getting back into it now, So looking for a nice 4k rig.

I forgot to add an SSD to your build so throw the spare €90 into one

    This really depends on the game though;
LTT built a PC nearly 2yrs ago that could handle 4k60 in actually-popular games:

Given your name, you have to go for the new Titan :)

...being serious, even with that [which costs around ~€1,200 alone] you mightn't be able to maintain 60 fps with ultra settings with the latest AAA games, never mind what is coming down the road.
I doubt the eventual 1080ti will be able to do it either.
4k isn't really here yet and mightn't be for another generation or two it seems!
Unless ofcourse all you plan on playing is CS:GO or Dota

Check out 1440p@144hz or super wide.

i have a 4k 60hz monitor myself and im going to go about getting myself a 1440p 144hz, because 4k as nollaig said just isnt there yet, at least for me and the fps/visuals i find acceptable

The new Titan is very capable of 4k 60fps on max settings on all but the worst optimised games. There is your 1200 Euro budget too.

Might i suggest a decent 1080/1440p rig instead of a 4k machine? I use my 4k tv on occasion (4k 30hz) and it just looks off, is the best way to describe it. It does look amazing at 1080p though. People might say that's rubbish but i do notice an improvement at 1080. just a suggestion. Best of luck with the build.
