Only one side of radiator heating

Apologies in advance, but I am not too good on plumbing!

Before the summer, I had my gas heating serviced as one of radiators downstairs was not working - ongoing issue for past couple of years - either one of 2 rads downstairs would not heat up. Was delighted as the guy solved my problem and every radiator downstairs is now heating up.

However, last night I had the heating on for an hour and noticed that one of the radiators in one of the bedrooms upstairs was hot on one side (left) and cold on the right hand side where's the thermostat is located.

My limited understanding is that If there was air in the rad, it would be hot at bottom and cold at the top so ? Air is not the problem. A Google search suggests a slide block but I feel this is unlikely as the rad is only 6 years old. I am afraid to bleed it in case it unbalances my already precarious system!

Any suggestions would be great fully appreciated. Many thanks
