Faro - More options?

    Hi all,

Looking to organise a few golf days in Portugal next April.

Last year we did three nights departing Dublin Wednesday morning @ 7am and returning home at 8pm from Faro Saturday night with Aer Lingus. This was a brilliant schedule as it allowed us to play golf after we arrived in Faro at 10am Wednesday and before we headed home Saturday.

This year the flight schedules of both Aer Lingus and Ryanair are very different. Weekday flights out are mid day (which prevents us being able to play golf on arrival) and flights back are late afternoon which also prevents us from playing golf the day we fly home. We would effectively be going from playing 4 rounds of golf on a three night trip to playing only 2 rounds of golf on a three night trip and that would make the trip not worthwhile.

The purpose of this post is to enquire from more experienced travellers than me whether the April 2017 schedules are likely to be fixed in stone already and what's available to us now is now going to get any better?

Any input would be most appreciated.

    Cheers.

I was looking at flying in and out of Lisbon in November with Aer Lingus. The ryanair flight times didn't suit. Aer Lingus have now gone and re scheduled their afternoon flight to an evening flight. So now it's down to price for me.

You really cannot guarantee that flight schedules will not be changed before travel, even up to two months in advance this can happen.

Thanks LOTS, I guess I'll just have to wait until closer to the time and keep checking the schedules.
