I'm currently on Jobseeker's Allowance, and I'm due to sign this week. I've been offered a job interview on the same day however, which I will need to travel a few hours to. Is there any way to arrange to sign on another day, or would my payment simply be cut, in the event that I don't get the job? Surely it would be…

Surely it would be counter-productive if they expect me to pass up an interview just to sign.

Contact your local office and tell them,you may need to provide some proof of the interview.
