What oil for these 2 Toyotas?

    Hi folks,

I need to know the correct oil type for the following two Toyotas:

    2011 Avensis 2.0 D-4D

    2009 Land Cruiser 3.0 D-4D

The local motor factors gave dad 5w30 for the Avensis, but it doesn't mention that it's low-ash on the container.
I'm concerned that the DPF-equipped car needs special oil, can anyone confirm that?

Also, do the Land Cruisers have a DPF?

    Thanks a million folks! :):)

What you want is ACEA grade "C1" or "C4". These are the low-SAPS grades, with C1 being the low-HTHS "fuel economy" option - personally I wouldn't bother.

And I'm fairly sure a 2009 Land Cruiser has a DPF. Legally they'd have to.

Thank you for the clarification! So is 5w30 the correct grade for both?
The bottle is marked ACEA A5/B5 - is this the wrong oil then?

    Thanks again for your help.

Well, those aren't the low-SAPS grades. I'd be inclined to go with a C4.

A5/B5 is not suitable for modern diesels.

Grand job, thanks so much for the clarification!
I'll get a drum of 5w30 C4 so, won't that be OK for both?
