Indeed they are. 20g in a bar of flake now? You'd want all 4 to make a standard size bar.
Note that the flake 4 packs are 75c in tesco so that's even cheaper for 16 at 3 euro.

are they still doing the 2 x 4 boxes of Magnums for a €5?

Nothing is nearly as big as it used to be and no, it's not because our hands have gotten bigger ;)

    But 4 for 1€.....it's a no-brainer.

Nah, these 4 packs of bars are far from full size..

    e.g Regular Wispa: 39g
    4 Pack Wispa: 102g (25.5g a bar)

This is where the self service checkout comes in to its own, no more strange looks or commentary from the cashier when you buy four 4 packs of the same bar.

Double deckers are only 40g as opposed to 54.5g in the standard size

They were one of the last to be reduced in size. The marketing BS they put out was saying they were reducing bars to have them all around 250kcal. Full size double deckers were already around 250kcal so they did not change. For a long time you would get full size double deckers in multipacks at the same price as the other reduced ones.

Dunnes as the first place I spotted small double deckers, then in dealz.

Bounty is one popular bar which I have not seen shrank yet in mulitpacks.

Those multi-pack dairy milks and the larger size individual dairy milk are produced in the UK.

The chocolate is overly sweet for my tastes & not a patch on the bars produced here with Irish bainne..

You're lucky if it's even the British stuff, nowadays it's almost all produced in Poland or even further flung places.

I do believe that the Flake and Twirl bars are Irish though.

Can't find a pic but there was a sign outside Dunnes showing the weekly wonders have the 9packs of cadburys for €1.99. Dairy milk, crunchie etc. I think the 4x4 pack offer was still on yesterday so it might be changing on Tuesday.

Don't think the double deckers were on the sign Atlantic Dawn, ya better get there tomorrow to stock up!

    Hellooooo diabetes :D

The problem is that they didn't bother to bring the original recipes with them when they moved production.

Most of the original size bars are still produced in UK and Ireland to the Cadbury formula but most of the multi-pack and many other products are made to a different recipe in Poland and taste rotten in comparison.
