Where to begin (again)

    I have been loving pokemon go, but it has left me yearning for the proper old games.

    I missed them first time around because I was too old, but played them more recently on emulators, generally hitting the combined half sequel than the original game (so yellow instead of blue of red).

    so I was going to go back to the start and do it again, but what do you recommend, go back to the original GB emulator and red blue or yellow or (and work my way through the rest) or just go straight to a DS emulator for Fire Red or Leaf Green? (wow, they were GBA, i am out of touch)
