Sorry new to this and a complete novice. What does one need to do to declare tax for the year.

I am registered on ROS online. What files / forms do I need to submit?

    Thanks

Same boat, interested in knowing this.

    Are you VAT registered?

You need to do a preliminary tax return for this year if it's your first by October, then the actual return next year in October.

Sorry for being a novice on this.

I am registered on ROS. Do I just make an income tax payment? How do I know how much to send prelim? Do I need to fill in a file?

When did you start trading and have you been keeping accounts?

Then you've to file a full return for last year and a preliminary one for this year in October.

It might be worth your while seeking the help of an accouuntant

This is the best advice you'll get here. Don't try and do it yourself. Chances are, you'll make a b@££$ of it and you'll have to get an accountant to sort it out eventually, costing you more money in the long run...
