BTEA and Change in Circumstances (Separation)

Hi all, I'd be very grateful for any advice anyone can give me.

I am due to commence my 3rd year of a degree course. I have been in receipt of Back to Education (and Susi paying fees) to date. I am married with one child. My BTEA rate has been reduced to reflect my husband's earnings.

Sadly, my husband and I are now separating. My question is, can I have my BTEA increased to reflect the fact that I am no longer benefiting from my husband's earnings, i.e. increased to the full amount for single person (€188) plus rate for dependant child (€24.80)? Or is the amount I am currently on 'set in stone' so to speak?

Many thanks for any assistance anyone can give!

You can ask for your means to be reviewed. Obviously they will ask about maintenance payments etc. They will also take off the adult dependant payment.
