Second car 4-5 k advice

    My lovely 03 avensis was smashed up last week so in the market for a replacement, and open to advice.
    It's a second car, so only about 15k miles per year on average,so probably not enough to justify paying a premium for a diesel I'm guessing . Bit of a toyota-phile so the obvious one would be a replacement avensis, but having owned a couple of 03-08 avensis I'm not in love with them. So any suggestions?? Budget loosely 4-5000
