    Hey folks.
Is there a way to transfer everything (apps, contacts, text messages etc) from one android to another. Namely Samsung galaxy note 2 to a Vodafone smart prime 6?

    Thanks.

I was looking at an app called g cloud but wasn't sure if there is a standardised way.

I think when you setup a new device, and login with your Gmail, it'll ask if you want to restore the apps from a previous device. This is assuming you allow for backup & restore.

Your contacts should be synced with Google. If you don't sync them with the cloud, then you should, just because it saves lots of hassle!

For text messages, use an app like SMS Backup & Restore. This will save your texts to the SD card. To get this, you just hook ur phone up to your computer with a USB cable and copy and paste it to your desktop. While you're there, you can backup anything else on your SD card that you need, eg photos.
Or for photos, you can install Google Photos and sync them to the cloud too. BTW, when syncing photos, people say to choose the "unlimited" option, but I prefer the "original" quality, even though it uses up your space. If you have the space, go for original quality.

Alternatively, if both devices have NFC enabled, I think you can tap them together and it transfers over certain stuff, possibly contacts and a list of apps installed. Not sure on that as I've never done it.

Thanks guys. I'm going from galaxy note 2 to Vodafone smart prime 6. I'm just waiting on the eBay unlock code to arrive. Ordered it yesterday but didn't know it would take 5-7 working days to arrive!
