tea caddy spoon hallmark and number.

I have this spoon which I think is a tea caddy spoon. on the back the hallmark looks like JR & S and a crown. I think it is John Round and Sons. there is also a number where the stem meets the bowl (8012). any ideas what this could mean ?

It looks like John Round & Sons all right but that's not a hallmark, it's a silver plate mark so it's not sterling silver. No idea what the number means.
