Has anyone used the MAC Face & Body foundation?

I have read good reviews but it's expensive.

Also not sure of the shades. I hate the numbers. I would normally wear ivory.

Its a good foundation, but its light coverage.

Its no more expensive than anything else in the MAC range, but if you're used to pharmacy brands, then yes its a step up.

Hard to know if its a good/bad idea without knowing what you expect from a foundation in terms of coverage etc.

If you can, you can buy it in an extra large size from a pro store (BT grafton street) and it works out really reasonable. I've not tried it myself but I'm tempted!

I love the finish, gives light enough coverage but I like that for summer.

I've found it very hard to match myself though, I'd be Ivory in other foundations too. Best to go in store and get them to match you and then go about the day to see the tones in different light.

Forgot this, but yeah, saying you're ivory isnt really much help as each brand probably have one called that and they're all different.

You should just go into the shop and have one of the MUAs colour match for you. They should do so on your jawline, not on the back of your hand. Then ask for a hand held mirror and walk outside to check in natural light before buying.

I have it and have the white one as well for lightening dark foundations. Love it on its own for a touch of colour but especially for mixing with heavier foundations to give them a dewier look!

I use it for this too. I often put on a very thin layre of EL DoubleWear and then top off with a light layre of MAC F&B. I find it gives a very youthful, dewy look.

Its a really lovely foundation, very light coverage, it sort of absorbs into the skin but it leaves a really nice dewy, natural finish. Im very pale, I use ivory foundation too and in Mac foundations im a NW 15 or NW 20. Ive just ran out of mine and need to replace it. I never re-purchase a makeup item unless I really like it, especially at that price.

Soap and glory make yourself youthful cc cream is a nice dupe if you wanted to try it out just to see how you like the consistency. Youd get it in boots, its about 15 euro. The mac face and body leaves a slightly nicer finish but I find the Soap and Glory cc cream is very similar to it, it has the same consistency and absorbs into the skin, its got an SPF as well.

Edit-- Never mind about the CC cream, I was boots yesterday and noticed its gone up in price to 30 euro! So disappointed. Face and body is better quality so id go for that now instead.
