Android Box - Minix U1 and Live Television

    Hello all,

    I'm getting rid of Sky and switching to an android box - likely to be the MiniX u1, as seen in the review here: https://youtu.be/jGVFdUWnSuc

    I was wondering, where does this leave me in terms of getting live tv - for example - Coronation Street for the wife?

    Is there a live TV app that can be accessed?

    A Dreambox was mentioned to me, but I've read some negative reviews of their service and I understand there is an annual fee? What is the fee for, does anyone know?

    You can use FilimOn for TV. It has most of the English free to air channels.
    There are also free to air streams within Kodi or KodiFreeTV

    More than likely what you are asking......is not allowed here and also as you might be aware that there is a full Android Box discussion thread HERE.
    This thread has plenty legal/allowed discussions (except for the few that continuously bring up banned Addons,Wizards etc,etc!!)

    Other than that,the fact you are aware of these boxes (Minix U1),you should have no problem finding the info you are after on many other forums/google search.
    The Minix U1 is a great box and not being sexist but I believe the terminology is......It can be made "Wife Friendly" no disrespect intended;)

    there's legit KODI plugins for liveTV too, but they usually only work for whatever country they are geolocked to, so the irish channels only work in ireland, the uk channels only work in the uk etc. etc.

    as with all things theres ways around it, but we have to keep things above board here, so it can't be discussed. :)
