Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The use of the word clever.

    Hello everyone,

Is it correct to say "I am clever"? I seem to remember in school the teacher correcting us by saying we should rather use "I am intelligent", etc. I'm not sure if I am remembering it correctly, or if I am just imagining it....

    Thanks,
    Ryan

My perception is that the two words don't mean the same thing. To me a clever person is able to use his/her intelligence (e.g. McGyver), but an intelligent person might not (e.g. Sheldon Cooper), even thought s/he might understand the issue.

That makes sense; I may have just remembered this inorrectly from school.

    Thanks.
