Hi. Anyone know how successful the above might be? I have a couple of acres that was recently drained and it's too wet for big plant so I'm wondering could I seed with wag tail and roll with 135?

Always sow with wagtail. Doing a bit today think I use 9 on the settings. A bit of trial and error on getting the setting right

I do it all the time! Super job.. open about the size of your little finger.. about 9 on the newer ones. Drive leaving the width of the tractor between each run. If you drive in high 2nd opened up half way should sow at half rate one way and the other half crossing 90 degrees to that.. ensure you don't. Miss any..
Long time since I used the 35 so check out that with half a bag on an acre to test..

Yeah will work the finest as Lar has described above, no more than a tractor width between rounds, not sure on the setting no. to use as we dont have a vicon.
There was a thread on about that earlier this year if you have a search for that, you will get more info

It spreads just a little bit wider than the wheels, so drive right beside your previous track.

If the field is level I pull a roller on a long chain after it too. Start off with half a bag of seed and see how far it goes, then adjust if necessary. Lads above I think are fairly right at 6-9 for the setting.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

If it's windy I set vicon at 4 and sow field twice. one run normal way .the other across the fieldjust to make sure all ground covered

It's a better job sowing with the wagtail than a grass box I think. You get a better coverage. It's also excellent for sowing forage rape or kale. Just make sure you cross the field again at 90 degrees to be certain of covering it all.

Trial and error, you could measure out 1/10th of an acre allowing for overlap and put in enough seed for that amount.

I think put in a 13mm drillbit and close the shutter to it should be right.
Also a Carroll's No 1 cigarette was the setting on the old yellow hayseed barrows.
