Mosquito? If not, what?, If so, what kind?

    Title says it all.

    See attached - sorry for the blurry image. Found in my house in West Cork last week. Looks like a mosquito, but I've never heard of them being around here.

    It certainly looks like a mosquito. Given the body position, it's a Culicine mosquito, but that level covers a large number of species. Beyond that, the picture is way too blurry.
