Possible to attach an auxilary/jack cable for an ipod connection to the rear of a stereo in a BMW E39? Year 2001 so radio quite old

I know how to take the radio out but where to connect it at the back?

    Probably something like this; http://www.connects2.com/products/aux-adapters/vehicle/BMW
They do bluetooth devices as well. Have used the site to get an aux out on an OEM Toyota Corolla radio. When you look at the back of your stereo, you'll need to find out the names of the connections (or someone here may know), as it seems there are more than one possible connection type.
