Hello there, I'm heading to Galway this Thursday with the girlfriend and her parents for a week, we're staying out in Salthill in some apartments.

I was just wondering if people could give me some advice as where to go for a bit of music. Girlfriends father loves trad sessions but only instrumental no singing and the girlfriend loves a good ballad session. Anyone have any suggestions where to go and on what days, thanks. :D

Every day of the week, 5:30 and 9:30pm (bit earlier on Sundays)
    The Crane
    Tig Coili
    Taffes
    Foxes

    Wednesdays:
    Wards in Lower Salthill

    Thursdays:
    The Western
    Murty Rabbits
... and I think there are some others, but can't remember where.

That's great for a good start thanks very much :). Been in the Crane before but thought the music was only on Friday nights (live and learn :D)
Is Foxes the place on the corner with Forster street and Eyre Square??
