Having an eighties party soon and I'm looking to fill the press with old classic crisps like Banshee Bones Chickatees Hot Lips Discos Bikers and Burger Bites. Is there anywhere left in the country that sell these items or am I on a road to nowhere??

Surely lovindublin.ie or joe.ie have done an in-depth report on such an important topic.

All of the above are available in different shops.

I often see crisps for sale in my local Tesco that are quite old!

You can get multipacks that have chickatees, wheelies and snacks.

Although I have to say they've changed, not as nice :(

    Anyone remember ghosties?

You can get those in dealz :)

Op, banshee bones have been discontinued.

Hot lips can be got in most newsagents. Discos come in a 6 pack in dealz and most two euro shops. Bikers are difficult to find, some shops in Dublin city centre sell single packs. The Pointy app would help you with your search. Chickatees are available in euro shops, as are burger bites.

Op, just pulled the car in to speak to two packs of crisps by the roadside. Kindly, they pointed me in the direction I should go to find these old crisps. I offered them a lift in return but they declined as they were Walkers.

Thanks for suggestions so far guys I'm surprised some of them are still around to be honest especially Discos. I presume they have been cursed with the modern crisp bag trend of being 95 percent air 5 percent crisp?

I almost laughed at that. Then I said what the hell and just laughed anyway.

OP if you just want old and you are in the Dublin area you could try Breathnachs in St. Dominic's in Millbrook in Tallaght otherwise known locally as Stale or Stolen. Unfortunately, they don't sell Viagra there anymore as they got done for it a while back. That could have really added to the party atmosphere I'm sure.

I've a few packets of cheese and onion that I found at the back of the press yesterday that went out of date in March. What will you give me for them?

If it's a real 80s party, share 3 packets between the party goers and then emigrate to England on the ferry.

Largo Foods stopped production of Banshee Bones in the spring. They're gone for good. A sad day for the parish! You can get Burger Bites, Discos, Chickatees and Meanies in any Dunnes or Tesco.
