Hi Cath I would imagine costings would depend on the size of space etc but the Interior Design Association of Ireland is a good place to start for interior designers in your area. I also heard of these guys before too, they are Dublin based, could be worth checking out http://optimise-design.com/

Hi Cath, there are plenty of experienced professional interior designers who would be available to work in your area. The Interiors Association has a list of designers and gives their contact details and website links. Hope this helps! Ciara Eloise.

Any luck with this, I've just spent the last month in shops checking things out. I'm sitting on the floor on a cushion due to lack of progress.
I enquired with a couple of designers today , one was 350 incl vat, one was 350 excl vat.
The first place I got the impression that they would be recommending their own paints, fabrics etc and you would pay a premium there.
the thing is a lot of their websites are for large houses going for an opulent feel (aka tons of money) . They reminded me of my friends parents houses which wouldn't work for me, think poky and cheap for mine

Start using the internet, look and save things you like to build a theme or a plan.
Modify it to suit your needs space.
Check every store shop you visit and take photos
Draw out your floor plan and what you need cut it out and play with sizes of chairs sofas,
What is the space to be used for
    What have you budgeted ?
    Are you in Dublin ?
Let me know if you want some help
