So autumn is coming whats red going to pull out the bag to get neil prenderville show number one. Two years now and still lags behind PJ. Both stations claiming number one atm the gap did narrow last book. It must be annoying to KC and Neil that the flagship shows come second to 96fms offering. I listen to KC and Neil myself. But hear a bit off PJ on the overnight repeat I can see why PJ appeals to a lot of cork hes kind of more in tune whit the older cork city population and has the twang.

I prefer RedFM in terms of talk show and music. 96fm always seems to play music from 5 years ago.

Yea red sounding as good as it gets in comercial pop radio but 96fms branding is good now they aint sitting back. Competition is good but id say revenue well down at 96fm seeing as the mid morning slot is down fro 115000 to 72000. Would an eye in the sky traffic update bring more to kc s show I think thats what keeps folk loyal to 96fm breakfast.

It's funny, a few weeks ago i was tuning across the FM band in cork one morning, and Nikki Hayes was on 4fm playing Demi Lovato and katy perry and Neil prenderville was on red fm talking to John O'Donovan about bin bags. Now which one of these stations is a youth service and which one is for the over 45s :-)

    I can't decide who's more annoying - Coogan or Prendeville? It's a very close-run thing.
