What type of Window Hinge is this?

    Hi,

One of the hinges on my window isn't working properly any more so I want to get a replacement. They are metal hinges for a wooden window and wooden window frame but I cannot see how the hinge is secured to the frame or the window. There is no sign of any screws. All I can see is the part that rotates. It is as if there is some part of the hinge embedded in the wood itself but I can't see that making a lot of sense.

I've taken a two pics - one to show what is visible from the inside and one from the outside.

Can anyone help me identify the type of hinge and perhaps advise on a replacement?

Subject to correction I think these just pull apart and the two halves each have a threaded rod?

The above link shows the hinge seperated and without e window or frame

What way are they not working. If they are stiff and the window isnt opening properly, the hinges might just need to be greased. I'd try tapping the window up from the bottom when open, see if you can get the hinges to seperate, then clean up the shaft and receiver, and gease them up, maybe even some light lithium grease.

Thanks Cletus and C_ashelmore, those are definitely the hinges.

I'll try a repair first as suggested. The window on one side appears to be lower. It's not the same hinge as the ones I photographed. There's 4 windows in a two storey building and the problem is with one of the windows on the top floor. I photographed the hinge from one of the bottom windows. I'll let you know how I get on.
