    I was at roscommon mart today. Some of the Bullocks had between 5-7 moves on them. How does this affect them in the future. I thought the limit was 4 moves for an animal.

    There's no limit to the number of movements an animal can have. The limit for Bord Bia cattle in the factory, which have a bonus payment, is 4 movements with the fourth being the one they're slaughtered in.

    The part of this movement craic that I don't get is if you take something to the mart and don't sell it still counts as a movement even though they come back to the original farm if not sold???????

    Yep, flaw in the system. They don't count as movements in the factory though, only herd number changes do.

    Same as any other. Herd number to different herd number counts as a movement.
    X= Herdnumber 1
    y = Herdnumber two.

    X to Y = 1 movement,
    Y back to x = Two movements.

    Then to a finisher = Three movements/

    get to know your mart manager v well and if not sold he won't add a movement onto them:D
