This is an interesting development which doesn't yet seem to have been discussed here. The Lawyer's report says it is looking for 10,000 sq feet, which is enough to cater for 50-100 employees.

Is it a harbinger of a broader trend of magic circle firms seeking to enter the Irish market? Pinsent is not itself a magic circle firm but, as the article says, it's a very substantial operator.

They already have a number of European offices, so it's not like they desperately need a foothold in the EU in order to preserve an ability to offer community-law advices. This, and the alleged size of their desired office, suggests a greater commitment to the jurisdiction.
